Welcome to Budborn — Our Community Rules

Budborn is more than a platform — we are a community of cannabis enthusiasts who grow, learn and connect together. For this to work, we need clear ground rules. These rules apply across all areas: Forum, Uploads, Marketplace, Chat, Breeding Lab, Arena and RootsBorn.

§1 — Respect & Community Spirit

  • We are all here because we share a passion. Treat every member the way you want to be treated.
  • Insults, discrimination, bullying and hate speech are prohibited — regardless of origin, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability or other characteristics.
  • Constructive criticism is welcome — especially in the Breeding Lab and for grows. But always stay factual.
  • Threats of any kind result in immediate suspension.
  • We are growers, not fighters.

§2 — Cannabis yes, hard drugs no

  • Budborn is a pure cannabis community. Everything related to growing, genetics, terpenes, consumption and culture is welcome.
  • Content about hard drugs (cocaine, heroin, crystal meth, synthetic drugs, etc.) is prohibited — whether advertising, glorification or trade offers.
  • Scientific education may be permitted — when in doubt, ask a moderator first.

§3 — No Politics, No Religion

  • This is about the plant, not parties or faith. Political propaganda and religious proselytizing have no place on Budborn.
  • Extremist content, symbols or slogans will be immediately removed and result in suspension.
  • Factual discussions about cannabis legalization are allowed — as long as they remain respectful.

§4 — No Spam & Unauthorized Advertising

  • Unauthorized advertising, affiliate links, promo codes and self-promotion are prohibited.
  • Repeatedly posting the same content (flooding) is considered spam.
  • URL shorteners (bit.ly, t.me, etc.) are automatically filtered.
  • Official Budborn marketplace shops may showcase their products in the designated areas.
  • XP coupons and Green XP are community features — abuse will be detected and sanctioned.

§5 — Youth Protection

  • Budborn is only for persons aged 18 and over.
  • Content that could endanger minors is strictly prohibited.
  • Accounts of minors will be immediately and irrevocably suspended.

§6 — Your Content, Your Responsibility

  • Only share content that belongs to you or for which you have permission to use.
  • Credit the source when quoting third-party content.
  • In the Breeding Lab: Respect the genetic work of other breeders. No cloning or copying without permission.
  • Photos and grows in the upload area must be your own.

§7 — Protect Privacy

  • Never publish personal data of others (doxxing) — name, address, phone or photos without consent.
  • Private messages (DMs) are confidential. Screenshots of DMs without consent of both parties are prohibited.
  • Your grow location on the World Map is voluntary and approximate — never share your exact address.

§8 — Marketplace & Trading

  • Only verified and approved shops may offer products.
  • Sellers are responsible for compliance with all applicable laws.
  • Fake reviews, self-purchases and trust score manipulation will result in shop suspension.
  • Use the dispute system for problems — public mudslinging in the forum is not allowed.
  • Trade listings and Seed Challenges follow the same fairness rules.

§9 — BudGuard — Our Shield

  • Budborn is protected by BudGuard — our automated system for detecting rule violations.
  • BudGuard assigns score points for violations. At certain thresholds, automatic warnings, flags and account suspensions may occur.
  • Brute force attacks on accounts are detected and blocked.
  • XP farming and score manipulation are automatically detected.
  • The word filter protects the community from toxic content — it is not a censor, but a shield.

§10 — What happens when rules are broken?

Depending on severity and frequency:

  1. Warning — for minor first-time offenses. You will receive a notification.
  2. Temporary Suspension — for repeated violations. Duration depends on severity.
  3. Permanent Ban — for severe violations such as hate speech, threats or illegal content.
  4. Report to Authorities — for criminally relevant content.

Admins and moderators act in good faith. If you have questions, reach out to a mentor or moderator via DM.
